Saint Paul – Team Sunderman announced today that Amanda Getz from Winona State University will join the ticket, running for Vice Chair South.

Getz was recently appointed to fill the position of Vice Chair South by current MCR Chair Tina Quick.

Getz is also currently the Chair of the Winona State University College Republicans.

"I am proud to name Amanda to my ticket," said Sunderman. "As we prepare for the 2006 election, we need dedicated Vice Chairs who can help to grow our clubs around the state. Amanda has done an outstanding job as chair of the WSU CRs. Her experience will be invaluable as a Vice Chair. In addition, she will be a strong advocate for southern Minnesota on the State Board."

"I am proud to join Team Sunderman. As Club Chair at WSU, I have learned a great deal about what we must do to be successful as an organization. I look forward to visiting clubs across Southern Minnesota as we recruit new members and register voters to deliver victory for our candidates in November."

Getz is currently a junior at Winona State University where she is studying elementary education. In addition to her involvement in CRs, she is a co-founder of winonareview.com, an independent news and opinion website for the WSU campus community.
