
Candidate Profile: Emily Loehr, Co-Chair
Emily Loehr is a junior at the University of Minnesota - Morris majoring in economics and political science. She began her active participation in College Republicans as a freshman. Before long, she had assumed the position of Technology Director of the Minnesota College Republicans State Board of Directors in the summer of 2004, and was unanimously elected Co-Chair of the Board in 2005.
Throughout her involvement in College Republicans, she has actively campaigned within Minnesota for President Bush and Minnesota’s Congressmen Kennedy and Kline, as well as neighboring candidates in South Dakota. She has worked as an intern for both Congressman John Kline and the Washington D.C. office of Eagle Forum, the pro-family organization founded by Phyllis Schlafly. In addition, she has studied with and attended many schools of the Leadership Institute in Washington D.C., where she fine-tuned her work with student publications. As Co-Chair, she became the founding Editor-in-Chief of The Minnesota Conscience, the new statewide MN College Republican publication.
